Join us as we celebrate six decades of groundbreaking technology and honor the pioneers who have shaped its legacy. VirtualZ proudly stands at the forefront of innovation as the first female and Native American-founded mainframe software company.

Jeanne Glass, Founder and CEO of VirtualZ, alongside Vince Re, Co-Founder and CTO, will share their collective journey of reimagining the mainframe and cloud landscape. In hybrid cloud environments, challenges often stem from data access issues. The complexity of running applications across mainframe, cloud, and distributed environments introduces added costs, time, data inaccuracies, and security risks.

In this session, we will explore new paradigms for accessing data from any platform, anywhere, and leveraging it to power better applications and experiences. Whether you need real-time, read-write access or ad-hoc access, we will discuss solutions.

Let’s commemorate the 60th anniversary of the mainframe — and discuss propelling the industry forward into a new era of diversity, disruption, and opportunity.

“On April 7th, 1964 the entire concept of computers changed” said an old IBM add. The success story of the mainframe started with a number of key architectural and strategic decisions that later came to be known as “IBM’s $5 billion gamble”. Eddy Ciliendo is the Vice President of Strategy at 21CS and he has personally witnessed half of the mainframe’s 60 year history. In this session Steven Dickens and Eddy Ciliendo will explore some of those strategic decisions and how they have shaped the mainframe but more importantly also how those decisions will shape the next 60 years of IBM Z.
